Don't know if you have had a chance to watch this movie yet. It was good. Just be prepared to have a box of tissues. Hope you like it too!

Happy Solstice!

Image
Our first test glaze fire without Walt. Looks okay, right? Rieker had to take pictures of the Mesa Creative Arts Center in Burgettstown, PA for their annual soltice celebration. They celebrate the first day of summer and hold a special Native American ceremony in their Medicine Wheel. It was pretty cool.

Happy Father's Day

We couldn't think of a better place than Hofbrauhaus for Rieker's Father's Day Brunch. Can you? We had sausage, pretzels, spaetzle, red cabbage, special mustard, and Belgium waffles. The day was all about him. He loved it. We think they are building a marina behind the biergarten. We'll see. We ran into Erica and her boyfriend and friends there too. I guess you don't need a dad for an excuse to have a giant after church beer on Father's Day.

A delicious recollection from April...

We had our own Pittsburgh mini-oyster roast when we got back to Pittsburgh with our half bushel of oysters from j-ville.  It was good, but not the same. Just looking at this picture makes me homesick for the next oyster roast around your kitchen island. That's the place to be. I wonder how the oil spill will affect next oyster season?
