Hey - one other thing - since I have been following the sartorialist i am totally trying to find a cute brown leather jacket. it has to be the right kind though. haven't found one for the right price but if you happen to see one at gabe's the one i like right now is the levi's moto racer jacket at amazon. let me know what you think and if you find one. no, over 150 is too much for a jacket i will only be able to wear for a week during the winter months. Hello Pressure Club,   You may have thought you were reading about crock pots...but this post is really about our pressure cookers.  Now, I fully believe that the both of you find yourselves in similar situations as me, which is, I don't necessarily have to eat "dinner" every nite, but, rieker does and has to squawk about it.   Anything you can make in a slow cooker, you can cook in a pressure cooker, but much much faster. And, you can saute and brown ingredients in the pressure cooker, which you CAN'T do in the crock pot. However, the trick is converting slow cooker recipes to conventional cooking times, and then reducing the cooking times to 30% to come up with the pressure cooker time. That's why I have included a cheat sheet. Here it is: Conventional Cooking Time: 15 to 30 minutes Crockpot Cooking Time: 1.5 hours on HIGH - 4 to 8 hours on LOW Pressure Cooking Time: 5 to 10 minutes Conventional Cooking Time: 30 to 40 minutes Crockpot Cooking Time: ...

This was what I had to eat after everyone else left. They were so good! Me having to share with the oth ers. Even Haylen was eating the oysters. I like this picture because look at how Haylen was peeling the shrimp. Her pinkie was sticking out. This time Katie was spilling stuff. She would hate this picture because I caught her talking instead of smiling but since this is just for us this will be fine.

That's the new 'closet' I put together myself - it was easy - no tools necessary and our new treadmill - it's awesome!

What happened to the field trips to the zoo, Sally Industries - where they make robotic characters for movies or amusement parks, field trip to the museums? Here we are on Logan's field trip to the TPC. At least we had a break from the heat that day and it was overcast and we had a nice breeze. I enjoyed my time with my boy and watching him interact with his classmates. They all say the same thing, "Logan is so funny. He makes me laugh all the time." So, even though he looks like me, his personality apparently comes from his father.

I just downloaded the software that came with my camera into my computer. I forgot I had it until Rieker reminded me. Now I can edit my images, once I learn how. It looks like a time consuming, mind-numbing endeavor. I might have to put my facebook cafe plans on hold. This is my first image I have  manipulated to email proportion for quicker uploading, and to protect any images I upload from being printed by anyone but me (at a usable size at least).

So, I pulled out an old blazer from the '90s (in lieu of the current boyfriend jacket craze), a new clearance bought $10.00 H&M dress, matte black tights, and some rarely worn brown sandals from my closet and patched together my frankenstein outfit for rieker's doctor's appt. I liked it. Do you?

i 'm trying my dress on over my  thermals, but you get the idea. I like it, but it's way too comfy. Sometimes, i use the feel of the  waistband of my jeans as a warning signal. can't wait to rock this madonna style.

1. The Silk Soy Vanilla milk is really good and is supposed to help with controlling cholesterol. 2. Joel wants to do an oyster roast the Friday after Thanksgiving and all anyone asks is, "Why? Are Joy & Jayne coming?" This promptly starts my whine about how you won't be coming on Thanksgiving or Christmas and probably not until next year! Boo!

Rieker took me to Jordan's Seafood in Brooklyn. One of their specialties is their calamari. Need I say more? Happy as a clam bar.

I knew it could be done. I rarely see it in Pgh, but apparently on our magical  boat, anything can happen. Rieker is doing the dishes.

  I was glad to see a contribution to our blog from one of our three contributors. Good job Ats!   I wanted to show you guys a picture of Rieker in a sweater Jayne brought over of Matty's. I love it on him.

Just trying to figure out how to do this thing. I see now everyone is blogging (by everyone I mean Joy & Jayne - the kids in our club). Still trying to figure out what to write. I guess I better start reading nienie again. Joy, love the headband. Don't know that I can pull this one off. I just look forward to seeing you and jayne wearing it.

I found this headband at Kings Plaza in Brooklyn at this store called Anna Belen. The store looked like a candy store for shiny, pretty accessories. I love this. I told Anna if she didn't wear it, I would. When I go back to the boat, I can get you guys one if you'd like. Just tell me which color. xo
