Words
So. . . I just noticed no blogs have been posted since July so I'm going to try to start back again. This summer (and even before) I have been on my soapbox with the boys about how they treat each other and how they speak to each other. I remembered Mom's many speeches on how we should treat each other and promptly started to compile my own spiel on how to address said issues. But here is the gist of it. She tells her kids to ask themselves, "Are my words kind, necessary and true?" If yes, proceed. If not, obviously stop. She then references some Bible verses:
“With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My people, this should not be,” (James 3: 9-10).
That same chapter of James goes on to read, “For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice,” verse 16.
I have my answer. Now I just need to practice the delivery. Before I practice that I guess I'd better practice the theory.Love you guys so much. Miss you even more!
