Twenties Girl, Sophie Kinsella
I LOVED this book. Sophie blows Nora out of the water. It was a mystery, a comedy, romantic and fashionable to read. I could not put it down. I tried to clean the kitchen floor and read at the same time. It did not work, so I put down the mop.
Thank you jayne for passing it on. I have to give it back to you asap so you can read it too and tell me what you think.
Jayne had on the cutest galoshes the other day. I thought the plaid was awesome. Aren't they?

Oh yeah, you see right girls. TWO pressure cookers in action. One had kale, the other potatoes. Did I feel cool. I think this is the way to go.
This is my mini-tree. Last year, I had it decorated with Hello Kitty, this year, the theme was "City of Champions", all black and gold. Oh, there are some red balls in there too because I thought they were pretty, and a penguin too. I don't want to put up the other tree, but Rieker wants me too. What's wrong with just this one?
I put up my Christmas village. It's nothing compared to mom's, but I like it a lot. The Ferris Wheel lights up, spins, and plays music (the music gets to you after a while so I had it shut off.)
My Christmas mantle. I didn't realize that nutcrackers had become a sickness for me. When did it happen? I love them, but I don't want to be like a crazy cat lady and fill my house with them. Maybe just one a year...maybe. There are some on the floor too.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Rieker household! I like your decorations and the tree joy but i'm with rieker, another tree would be great. i like your theme tree too though. glad you liked 20s girl. it was a selection from our book club (see aren't you glad you're back on?) watched the pressure cooker dvd and now i am psyched to use it. the risotto with lobster looked amazing! is this a special rice? btw jayne's galoshes were on fb some time ago. you're late!
ReplyDeletejoy - i love your decorations - they look pretty. i think i got the same nutcracker crazy (i think we were together when we bought target out of them) we have them everywhere.
