Ok, this is the one I liked that I told you I would post. What do you think? I may need a little punch of color but I like the different shades of brown and my cardigan has threads of gold. Like my dog "accessory"?
Is that a glitter sweater? I love it! where did you get it? i love shiny things this Christmas. Very cute. I would loosen up the scarf a little around the neck. Sometimes, I have to fiddle with my scarf for a few minutes to look "casual".
bought the glitter sweater at target after christmas sale for about $7 (or maybe it was $4). anyway, i am loving it because it is soft even with the gold threading and it is 3/4 length sleeves. perfect for florida christmas weather.
Ate, I love love love the glitter sweater. Even more know that you told me it's soft with 3/4 length sleeves. Keep an eye out for one for me, puh-leaze? It's my birfday in March :) I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean about the scarf, I was just editing your outfit. I thought your outfit was cute, I just wanted to loosen up the scarf a bit more. Sorry. I'll be posting up pictures of the new bag jayne got that she wants your opinion on later. xo
Matty & jayne's new marble dining table. Look how pretty the table is! Matty grilled the italian bread and brie on his charcoal grill. Unbelievably delicious. Jayne's cupcakes taunted me all night long. The salad, believe it or not, was just as good as the cupcakes. Tommy and his new sous chef jayne. I was fired. Jayne set a gorgeous table. The star of the show, tommy's chicken piccata. Oh yeah! yummo!
I roasted a whole chicken a few nights ago. I stuffed a couple of lemons and garlic cloves up it's bum and rubbed it with poultry seasoning. I made giblet gravy with the giblits, liver and a few hard boiled eggs too. The gravy was my favorite part. I shredded the leftover chicken tonite and used the creamy alfredo sauce packet that was in my cabinet. I threw in some bacon crumbles I keep in my freezer and some sliced mushrooms from Trader Joe's. I boiled some broccoli florets (on sale @ giant eagle) in the same sauce pan I later threw in some angel hair pasta. Dinner was made in less than 15 minutes!!! and cheap. So cheap.
Quinoa Pilaf 2 Tablespoons olive oil 1/2 onion, chopped or 1 shallot, finely chopped 2 cups quinoa 4 cups chicken broth 1 teaspoon parsley flakes In large fry pan with a lid, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and quinoa. Saute until the quinoa starts to brown and the onion becomes clear. Add chicken broth and parsley flakes and bring to a slight boil. Cover and reduce heat. Cook for 12 minutes, covered, until liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork, recover and allow to steam for another 10 – 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and serve. This recipe is from Goodcheapeats.com a great resource for once a month freezer cooking and menu planning Mondays. Also, I added chopped carrots to the recipe when sauteeing the onion and quinoa just to add a little color to the dish and to get some veggies in. Recipe from: www.goodcheapeats.com
