Don't mind the dunkin donuts cup, what about the shoes

I got these harley davidson boots from a strip mall in Waynesburg, PA. They are pretty good in the snow and not that bad looking, right? This time of year, it's a real challenge to not to leave the house in sweatpants, which are so toasty and comfy.
So, they opened up a dunkin donuts by jayne's house. We stopped on the way back from dropping stuff off at jayne's. Yeah, I couldn't believe Rieker bought me a donut. I got an old fashioned AND a boston creme, who knows when we'll go back there? I DUNKED my old fashioned in my coffee, which I ate in the shop because I'm not allowed to eat or drink coffe in rieker's new-ish jeep. I think that's what the donut gods intended when they created the tasty treat because it is the bomb diggity. I think dunkin donuts is the mcdonalds of the donut world, and that they are making a comeback! donuts in general I mean. I think the same people who thought dunkin and krispy kreme donuts are so bad realize that they are still a heck of a lot cheaper (and just as good~ and bad) as the gourmet cupcake shops opening up all over town. What the heck is the difference? That's what I thought after my second donut and my sugar induced genius came upon me. Don't you agree?

    i think you look really cute! i like all boots and if they are harley then they do not go over the calves which is apparently the only kind of boots i can wear. love the boots! i really like your scarf too and the dunkin donuts cup is a nice accessory if i do say so myself. did you buy one for jayne and that is the "stuff" you dropped off? what a great sis!

    i like those boots too! weirdly enough i got boots like that too but from dsw (you saw them right on nye?) but they're not hard core harleys they're ralph lauren - you know i'm a sucker for ralph!

    and i agree- you look cute!! except for new year's we should lose at least 10 pounds this year and dd is not on that agenda

    yeah, jayne got the upscale biker look. i'm from the "hood" with my harleys....yeah, i realized i needed to lose more than 10 pounds when i saw the new years pictures you posted with my fat head. jeez, i gain weight in my butt and cheeks.

I roasted a whole chicken a few nights ago. I stuffed a couple of lemons and garlic cloves up it's bum and rubbed it with poultry seasoning. I made giblet gravy with the giblits, liver and a few hard boiled eggs too. The gravy was my favorite part. I shredded the leftover chicken tonite and used the creamy alfredo sauce packet that was in my cabinet. I threw in some bacon crumbles I keep in my freezer and some sliced mushrooms from Trader Joe's. I boiled some broccoli florets (on sale @ giant eagle) in the same sauce pan I later threw in some angel hair pasta. Dinner was made in less than 15 minutes!!! and cheap. So cheap.

Quinoa Pilaf

Quinoa Pilaf 2 Tablespoons olive oil 1/2 onion, chopped or 1 shallot, finely chopped 2 cups quinoa 4 cups chicken broth 1 teaspoon parsley flakes In large fry pan with a lid, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and quinoa. Saute until the quinoa starts to brown and the onion becomes clear. Add chicken broth and parsley flakes and bring to a slight boil. Cover and reduce heat. Cook for 12 minutes, covered, until liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork, recover and allow to steam for another 10 – 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and serve. Wedding Soup Recipe

Here's Aunt Mary's Wedding Soup recipe that was so delicious! WEDDING SOUP 2 boneless chicken breasts 2 large cans college inn chicken broth 1 pkg. chopped spinach (thawed & drained) 3 cups water 1 carrot 2 eggs 1/3 cup parmesan cheese Bring water boil; add chicken. Grate carrot into boiling water. After 10-15 minutes remove chicken. Cool, then dice. Add College Inn broth; bring to a boil and reduce heat. Beat 2 eggs, add Parmesan cheese to eggs and blend. Drop egg mixture into broth, stirring through with fork. Add drained spinach, meatballs, diced chicken. Simmer for 15 minutes Of course you can make your own chicken stock, but I just used the canned broth but I did use the lowfat, low sodium one. Also, the drier you get the spinach the less green the soup broth gets. MEATBALLS 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs 1 egg (blend above and roll into dime size meatballs) I cooked my meatballs before putting them into soup
