Day Two: Part Two: Apache Trail: Goldfield Ghostown

Goldfield Ghostown was booming was upon a time. Now it's a place I think J&L would love. They have lots of picture perfect western scenes and some cute shops.
This Walt doppelganger hangs out in town, accosts you by asking your name, then sticks your name (not with any particular finesses) into his "ButterNBeans" song he sings while fiddling. In exchange, you feel obligated to tip him. Of course, he caught the slow guy on the crutches. Maybe Rieker felt a little homesick for his buddy Walt, because we spent way more time with this guy while he sang songs about rieker, richard and jocelyn (now that was a doozy). We spent the rest of the time in the rather confined ghostown trying to avoid him.
If you look to the lower left of this picture, there is an orb! I took two versions of this picture, and the orb was in both. No kidding. It was the only time I saw the orb in my photos. Can you figure it out?
Someone parked their horse and dog in the saloon parking lot. We saw a few cowboy types walking and riding around.

  1. Very cool photos - poor ed looks like he does not know how to be in front of the camera instead of behind. smile, ed! maybe the "orb" was a ghost. hope it didn't follow you home. paranormal activity and all that . . . i love the photos you take by the way. you've got the eye. do your exercises with them so it doesn't float.

  3. Don't freak me out with the eye stuff! rieker was trying to look like he spent the night in jail, so he actually looked like that on purpose.

  4. i just feel for the poor guy trying to limp around on crutches as you go sightseeing. the garcia girls are rough on their men while on vacation. think back to matty coming to jax and spraining his ankle playing football in his boots. crazy!
